WOMEN'S JUSTICE CIRCLES

Are you concerned about issues affecting women, such as housing, health care, and the education of your children?  Women’s Justice Circles have successfully changed public transportation and housing policies, re-opened food banks, and been advocates for their children with school districts.  Justice Circles create a community of women who work together for the common good.  We are forming a Women's Justice Circle in the Bellingham area.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Cat Zavis at 360-820-9955.  We are also looking for facilitators; all the training and materials will be provided. REIKI EVENTS

Every 1st Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm
Healing Circle for Reiki practitioners
 
This evening is intended as a time for Reiki practitioners to receive and connect to the Reiki community. There will be meditation, time to share experiences, ask questions, as well as time for trade.
Suggested donation $5, for use of space.
 
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm
Reiki for women
 
These two hours are intended to support women, as well as a time for Reiki practitioners to share the healing energy with their community. Healing time depends on number of practitioners and number of women receiving.
Suggested donation $5, for use of the space.

Sunday August 17th, 2008 from 9:30am -5:00pm
Reiki level II with AnneDorthe Dreyer
In Reiki level II you will be attuned to three Traditional Usui Reiki Symbols, the Power Symbol, the Mental/Emotional Symbol, and the Distance symbol. You will receive attunements that open you to stronger flows of energy. Acquire healing techniques that will greatly enhance your practice.

$100 or sliding scale, includes a certificate. Reiki Level I is a prerequisite.

AnneDorthe Dreyer offers CranioSacral and Reiki session at a discount price of $50 an hour through The Connection.


Fire-Belly Fusion: Registration

This dance class offers a unique combination of basic, belly dance movement with poi spinning technique that is a foundation for fire dancing. This class is open to all skill levels, accessible for beginners but challenging even for experienced dancers--integrating upper body movement, spatial awareness and coordination, grounded steps and core isolations. All gender expressions are welcome. Older youth may participate with appropriate adult guidance.

The sessions will be progressive, but each will be open to beginners.

SINGING GROUPS

Every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:00, local folk singer and performer Linda Allen leads us in singing circles.  All singing abilities welcome.

First and third Tuesdays: COWS circle - a circle of women singing. Its purpose is for women to find their voice through song. 

Second and fourth Tuesdays: Threshold Choir. The purpose is to learn songs to support people as they transition through death and dying.


HOMEOPATHIC WELLNESS

Local homeopathic consultant Carolyn Hallett is offering low-cost, sliding fee homeopathic wellness services to women in our community through The Connection.  Homeopathy treats all illnesses, including mental and emotional imbalances and is safe, non-toxic, and has no side effects.  With homeopathy we will get you well, keep you well and go to BEYOND well.  If you would like to schedule an appointment with Carolyn, please call her at 752-2111.
